This argument would’ve been significantly more valid in 2019-earlier. Still rings true, though the enlightenment of upper mgmt as the economy has started to rear again is attentive.

The ‘great resignation’ won’t be the sea of departures everyone’s talking about, but as the shifting workforce ails the bottom line — which, let’s face it, is what drives macro decisions — there will be some flexibilities built into organizational expectations. I.e., those who can produce the same (or more) who aren’t at their desks until late.

Following the dollars will be where decisions go; not necessarily the visibility of the “overzealous employee.”
