One of my saving graces was getting features in Index. It was such a great idea as a concept and drove 75% of my reads and earnings. The pubs you mentioned going away (and the in-house ones) definitely felt like a pivotal moment. Sometimes wish I had started writing on here just 1-2 years earlier — Jan 2021 was my start and even since then it looks/feels uber different.
