Apologies are fine — if they're meaningful. Did you explain something clearly to me but I still don't understand? Don't apologize, just try again. Did you jump on this Zoom meeting 3 minutes late? Don't apologize, just dive in. I often tell my team and my family, "save your sorries, you'll really need them one day."
