A good “mentor-mentee” relationship is dyadic — meaning, the exchange of experience grows both people. Good mentorship is really hard to find, because many folks base it off your YouTube model: one person “has” skills and transfers them to the “have not.” I have a few people who *guide* my growth, and the thing that stands out is when there’s mutual listening — that’s a core element of good mentorship, and notice how I keep using that modifier: *good*.
