Although I don’t know
who they are,
they say all friends and foes
in our dreams are faceless.

It’s something about our minds’
inability to create faces;
rather, we put faces
to the faceless.

Faces we already know,
we give to those we don’t.
So even though we don’t see them,
we “see”…
